Disclaimer Regarding Noise Levels and Compliance with Annex 16
Ultimate Heliport operates in strict adherence to international aviation standards, including those outlined in Annex 16, Volume I, established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Our commitment to safety and environmental responsibility is paramount.
We would like to emphasize the following:
- Noise Certificates: The operators utilizing Ultimate Heliport are required to hold valid noise certificates were applicable and issued by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) in accordance with Annex 16, Volume I. These certificates attest to the compliance of the helicopters with established noise standards.
- Minimum Flight Levels: Operators and pilots are responsible for adhering to minimum flight levels as specified by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA). These minimum flight levels are established to mitigate noise impact on neighbouring communities and are essential for maintaining a harmonious environment.
- Ultimate Heliport’s Role: Ultimate Heliport is not responsible for the noise levels generated by the helicopters operating from our facility. We rely on the operators’ compliance with stated regulations.
- Noise Complaints: While we take noise concerns from our community seriously, it is essential to understand that our capacity to address noise-related issues is limited. Noise complaints can be primarily directed to Ultimate Heliport through the online reporting platform and will be escalated to the relevant operators.
Ultimate Heliport remains committed to working collaboratively with operators, pilots, and regulatory authorities to ensure that our operations align with Annex 16 standards. We appreciate your understanding of our role in noise management and your cooperation in addressing noise concerns through appropriate channels.
