Who We Are

OHSUK have been based in Aberdeen, Scotland for over 20 years, delivering safe and reliable helicopter transportation solutions to the offshore energy market.

We are proud to also operate the Industry Search and Rescue service in the North Sea using dedicated AW139 helicopters based in Aberdeen and serving energy majors across the area. We can also be tasked to emergencies in our local community around the coastline engaged in industrial fishing as well as leisure pursuits.

Many of our colleagues are industry veterans with wide & varied careers including military service and experience gained across commercial aviation worldwide.  Our SAR technical crew also draw experience from land-based medical careers with state paramedic and emergency department services.

Our Helicopters

We have a modern, mixed fleet of Sikorsky S92A, Airbus H175 and Leonardo AW139 helicopters maintained in accordance with our own, customer and regulatory standards.  We hold UK CAA AOC, Part CAMO, Part-145 and Part-FCL approvals allowing us to operate, manage continuing airworthiness and maintain our own aircraft, as well as training our flight crew.

Our Safety

OHS is pleased to have registered-supplier status under OEUK’s SEQual programme

We also hold approvals for:

  • ISO 9001 : 2015 (Quality Management System)
  • ISO 14001 : 2015 (Environmental Management System)
  • ISO 45001 : 2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)

Safety is our core value, and our Safety Management System ensures the highest standards of safety performance and also effectively implements environmental and quality management. The purpose driving this proactive approach is to meet and where possible exceed aviation regulations, the ICAO framework for an SMS, customer expectations, ORG.GEN.200 & CAMO.A.200 and any other applicable requirements.

We operate a “STOP WORK” authority policy whereby all our staff are empowered to stop unsafe work and challenge any person working on our sites whose behaviour does not meet our safety standards.

We are members of HeliOffshore and are committed to the goal of “a safer frontline served by an open, responsive and aligned industry so no lives are lost in offshore aviation”.
