We are proud to announce that we will be operating an Airbus helicopter AS350B3 during the summer season in Antarctica from January to April 2015. The Airbus Helicopter AS350B3 “Squirrel” is a single-engine light helicopter originally designed and manufactured in France by Aérospatiale (now Airbus Helicopters).

The helicopter and crew departed from Cape Town harbor on a scientific research vessel in early January and are expected back mid April.

The helicopter will be used for scientific research purposes around the Northern and Eastern Antarctica mainland.
