26 November 2021: After more than ten days of intense packing, logistics planning and excitement, the Steyn City Foundation’s Happiness Crew has completed delivery of 12 500 school bags, packed with essential stationery items and goodies, to seven primary schools in Diepsloot. School bags were packed at Steyn City Ultimate Heliport hangar.
On Wednesday 24 November, the Steyn City Foundation – along with sponsors and supporters Auto & General, SAPS, JMPD, Ultimate HELI and Fidelity – visited Muzomuhle Primary School in Diepsloot, much to the delight of the school children. The crew was accompanied by celebrity MC ProVerb, Steyn City Properties CEO Giuseppe Plumari and special VIP Santa, whose flight was sponsored by Ultimate HELI in the Bell 412.
Since the event marked the 10 th anniversary of Delivering Happiness to Diepsloot, festivities were even more joy-filled than usual, with the children invited to tuck into two outsize cakes and balloon arches erected to make it a real party.
The Happiness Crew’s work is far from over, however. They are now turning their attention to families of learners, and will be packing 12 500 food parcels, to be delivered in 20 litre buckets which can be used for food storage, so that no member of the community goes
hungry over the festive season.
“We at Ultimate HELI are proud to be apart of the campaign alongside Styen City Foundation in delivering happiness,” says Ultimate HELI CEO, Shaun Roseveare.
